Speaker
As the leader of Shell's Norway UK Cross Border Asset, Nicola Gordon is responsible for the development and operation of oil and gas fields. Through a network of onshore gas plants and offshore production platforms and subsea installations in both Norway and UK, including the giant Ormen Lange field, her team handles up to 30% of the gas supplied to the UK. She is a member of the leadership team of Norske Shell which is a vertically integrated oil and gas company. Since Nicola began her career with Shell almost thirty years ago, she has had a range of roles in production engineering, human resources and operations management. Nicola lives in Stavanger, Norway with her husband and their three children. She holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and was the first female to be awarded a Master's in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
