Between 2002 and 2005 he was the Gas Director of the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). Since 2009 he is Senior Vice-President Northern Europe, Total Exploration Production and Chairman of Total Holdings UK. He holds additional positions as supervisory director within the group.
