Francis Egan, CEO, Cuadrilla

Mr. Egan joined Cuadrilla Resources as CEO in July 2012.
He has over 28 years of diverse international experience working in engineering and management roles in the upstream oil and gas industry.
Prior to joining Cuadrilla, Mr. Egan worked in Houston as President of Production for BHP Billiton Petroleum with management responsibility for BHP Billiton's worldwide oil and gas production. Prior to that role he filled a number of management roles within BHP Billiton Petroleum including periods managing their oil and gas businesses in the UK where he has worked in London and North Wales, in Pakistona where he was based in Islamabad, and in Algeria where he worked in Algiers with BHPB's operations in the Sahara. Mr. Egan also spent a period working as head of BHP Billiton Global Supply based in Melbourne Australia.
Prior to joining BHP Billiton, Mr. Egan spent eight years with Marathon Oil in a variety of engineering and commercial roles.
Mr. Egan was educated in Ireland obtaining a BE Civil Degree with First Class Honours and a Master of Engineering Science Degree. He spent time as a PhD Student and research asistant at the California Institute of Technology in Los Angeles and also holds an MBA from the University of Warwick.
