Helima Croft, PhD, Managing Director, Global Head of Commodity Strategy Global Research, RBC Capital Markets
Principal Guest Speaker
Helima is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Commodity Strategy at RBC Capital Markets. She specializes in geopolitics and energy, leading a team of commodity strategists that cover energy, metals and cross-commodity investor activity. Helima is a member of the National Petroleum Council, a select group of individuals who advise, inform and make recommendations to the Secretary of Energy with respect to any matter relating to oil and natural gas. She also is a CNBC contributor, a member of the channel’s exclusive family of experts, is on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic Council, a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a member of the Oxford Energy Policy Club. Helima joined RBC Capital Markets from Barclays, where she was a Managing Director and Head of North American Commodities Research. Prior to that, she worked in Lehman’s Business Intelligence group, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Central Intelligence Agency, where she focused on geopolitics and commodities. Helima has received many industry accolades throughout her career and received her PhD in economic history from Princeton in 2001.

Bookings for this event are limited to individual or corporate members of The Scottish Oil Club. New membership must be established prior to making your booking. See Membership for information about membership.
All tables seat 10 people.
Corporate Members are entitled to book one full table of 10 seats. Corporate members who chose to become Sponsors are eligible for early booking, and can book up to three tables, during the first tranche of booking.
We hold a few tables for individual bookings. Individual members can book up to 4 individual seats at the individual tables. Individual members are not eligible to book full tables.
Dress is dinner jackets (black tie) with decorations. Kilts are acceptable.

The cost of a corporate table of 10 seats is £1500.00. The cost of an individual seat is £125.00 (maximum of 4 seats). Corporate Sponsorship is £1500.00. VAT will be added to these costs on the invoice.
Bookings are non-refundable after Monday 28 October 2019. We do this as re-selling the table is difficult if not impossible and we will have already made commitments to venue.
Membership renewal for the 2019-2020 season will be billed on the invoice.
Finding Your Seat at the Dinner
If you are a Table Host or guest, you will hear of your table number from your Table Coordinator. People with individual bookings will hear from the The Scottish Oil Club prior to the event.
We also will have a poster with all names in alphabetic order and table numbers on display near the entrance to the Edinburgh International Conference Center (EICC). We will indicate if the table is "stage left" or "stage right" (relative to the outward looking speaker on the stage). You will be able to find your name in the event programme for your table assignment.
