The Scottish Oil Club Contributions Policy
This text originates from the 3 December 2009 Board meeting where this policy was approved.
The overriding aim of any use for surplus funds (should the Board so desire it) is to focus on the energy, oil and gas sectors in Scotland, including Suppliers in line with the published objectives and purposes of the Club, e.g. to provide forum for debate and awareness of issues surrounding the oil and gas sector and its suppliers.
The core criteria for evaluating and judging funding proposals are described here. The proposal should:
- Proactively raise profile of the Club
- Provide forum(s) for debate, awareness of issues surrounding the oil, gas, and energy sector and its suppliers
- Enable and encourage industry networking and professional development
- Focus on Scotland and Scottish Industry
- Must satisfy administrative requirements (see below)
Administrative requirements:
- Deliverables need to be defined up-front
- Receiving organisation has to show credible capability to execute
- Receiving organisation is to report back to the Board on effectiveness of SOC support and benefits gained, commensurate with activity supported
- Receiver of funds to invoice SOC (with VAT if relevant)
- Encourage use of SOC logo and SOC branding
- Minimum demand on SOC board, staff, and member resources
