Speaker

Since first joining Shell more than 30 years ago, Andrew has gained a wealth of managerial experience, working across Europe, Australia and Africa. He was Refining and Supply Director for Shell Denmark (1986-1990.

He has been Personnel Manager, Manufacturing Oil and Gas for Shell International Petroleum Maatschappij and Director of Shell Oceania, in Australia with responsibility for refining, supply, trading and distribution.

From 1997 until 1999, he was CEO of the North West Shelf Venture, Australia’s largest natural resources project incorporating LNG, domestic gas, NGL’s and crude oil production from.

Between 1999 and 2004, Andrew was Managing Director of Nigeria LNG Ltd., and Vice President of Bonny Gas Transport Ltd. Whilst in Nigeria he was President of the Nigerian Gas Association in 2003-4.

In 2006, Andrew was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by the UK government for ‘services to British business and sustainable development in Nigeria’.

He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer.

Arrangements

Members and guests are invited to convene between 17:30 and 18:00 for coffee/tea and biscuits (pay-bar available). Meeting commences at 18:00.  An opportunity for informal discussion between members and guests will follow the presentation in the Cocktail Bar where a pay-bar is available until commencement of the Discussion Dinner (Chatham House Rules) at about 20:00.
