Thank you for using Google Check Out and your credit card to make a payment to the Scottish Oil Club. We provide this capability for those members who wish to pay by credit card rather than by cheque or BACS bank transfer.
BACS bank transfer is the preferred payment method due to simplicity and low and/or zero cost to both the member and the Club. However, we recognise that some corporate members can only pay by credit card and many prefer the simplicity of credit card payments.
Each credit card transaction costs the Club a bit more than 3.4%, vs. "free" for BACS internet payments, and postage costs for cheques. Please note that no credit card or other personal/sensitive information is transmitted to or available to The Scottish Oil Club. This information is only available to Google Checkout under their terms and conditions after you provide it to them. The Scottish Oil Club is unable to accept credit card transactions via phone or in person.
After you make your payment, please inform the Executive Secretary via email so that we know to match up your payment with you. The Executive Secretary will send you a Scottish Oil Club invoice covering this payment.
