The dues for Corporate Membership are based on the number of employees in
the organisation. The benefits of Corporate Membership include:
- All employees are entitled to participate in the dinners which follow
the presentations (dinners require payment). Employees can attend the
presentation only without charge.
- Free notification (via email) of Club events for unlimited number of
employees.
- Listing on the List of Corporate
Members on this web site, sorted in order of class of membership based
on organisation size (see above).
- The company can have entry in the electronic Directory of Members,
which can include a full description of the business and as many contact
names as required. This directory is sent via email to all named
contacts. See Sponsors.
- The company can use Club meetings for limited promotion (distribution
of brochures, display stands, etc.). This should be discussed and agreed
with the Executive Secretary prior to the meeting.
- The company has a right to book tables at the
Annual Dinner for corporate entertainment and to to be a sponsor of
this premier event. See Sponsors.

Individual (Ordinary) Membership is open to all those who have no full
time corporate affiliation, or who wish to join the Club in a personal
capacity. Individual Members can
- attend all presentations at meetings free of charge
- participate in the dinners which follow the presentations (dinners
require payment)
- there are separate tables at the Annual Dinner reserved for Individual
Members who wish to attend
- free copies of the electronic version of The Scottish Oil
Club Directory of Members
- Individual Members are listed in the The Scottish Oil Club Directory of Members
under their own name (with no corporate or company affiliation given)
- New memberships initiated after April 1 in each season will cover the
remaining part of the current season plus the full following season.
Corporate Members are invited to be Sponsors at the
Annual Dinner. The benefits of
Sponsorship include:
- The sponsor will be acknowledged by a full-page colour advertisement Guest List and
Programme booklet.
- The page format is portrait.
- Paper size is 210 mm x 148 mm (A5). Accounting
for page
margins (required), the advertisement size is maximum 190 mm x 128 mm).
- The sponsor should provided the advertisement in
electronic form (via email or CD-ROM in surface mail) in one of the
following formats: EPS, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, Adobe PDF, Open Office SXW, or Microsoft Word DOC.
- We will add your companys name (along with your corporate logo) to
the list of Sponsors on the events web site with an active link back to
your corporate web site. The company's name will be included on the Table
Layout web page.
- Sponsor's Table Hosts and one guest will receive an invitation to the
Presidents Reception at the Annual Dinner.
- Permission will be granted for the sponsor to display one banner at
the Annual Dinner of The Scottish Oil Club in the reception area.
Note: The banner must be located in a safe location in
the reception area (not dining room) and may be moved by the
venue or The Scottish Oil Club without requiring permission of the
Sponsor. The banner must not occupy more than 1-2 square meters of
floor space. No
sponsor's banners are permitted in the Dining Room, nor are sponsor's
banners permitted in the President's Reception room.
