The Scottish Oil Club Sponsorship

Sponsors of The Scottish Oil Club provide resources for the club to offer the opportunity to for local university students in energy-related studies to participate in the monthly dinners of The Club, and in support of the Annual Dinner.

Student Attendance at Discussion Dinners

The Scottish Oil Club operates a sponsorship programme whereby the Club and a corporate member pays for the dinner costs of member university students to attend the dinner portion of monthly meetings. The benefit to the student is to participate in the debate and discussion at the diner. The benefit to the sponsor is to contribute to that student benefit and to get credit for that sponsorship on the web page of the event.

The cost of this sponsorship is equal to the cost of the each dinner. Contact the Executive Secretary to participate in this sponsorship.

Annual Dinner Sponsorship Benefits

The cost of sponsorship for the 34th Annual Dinner on February 3, 2012 is UKP£750. The following are Annual Dinner sponsorship benefits.

Early booking for up a table of 10 at the event. This booking is made prior to open booking to other members.
Invitation for the Table Host and guests to the President's Reception
On a first-come, first-served basis, access to book rooms for guests at the Sheraton out of the Club's allocation of overnight rooms. The Club's allocation is never large enough to meet the needs of all sponsors; therefore we recommend that you plan on using other hotel resources to meet your needs.
The sponsor can provide a full-page colour advertisement for the event's Programme."

- Paper size is 210 mm x 148 mm (A5). Accounting for page margins (required), the advertisement size is maximum 190 mm x 128 mm).
- The sponsor should provided the advertisement in electronic form (via email or CD-ROM in surface mail) in one of the following formats: EPS, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, Adobe PDF, Open Office SXW, or Microsoft Word DOC. PDF is preferred.
We will add your company’s name (along with your corporate logo) to the list of Sponsors on the event’s web site with an active link back to your corporate web site. The company's name will be included on the Table Layout web page.
Sponsors can display one "regular-sized" rollup banner at the Annual Dinner of The Scottish Oil Club in the reception area.
Note: The banner must be located in a safe location in the reception area (not dining room) and may be moved by the venue or The Scottish Oil Club without requesting permission of the Sponsor. The banner must not occupy more than about one square meter of floor space. No sponsor's banners are permitted in the Dining Room, nor are sponsor's banners permitted in the President's Reception room.
